Christy is driven by a passion to succeed: Tell her she can’t, and she can and will. She feels that if you can dream something, it can be your reality. She’s also passionate about having fun while working hard and enjoys spending 40+ hours a week with everyone she works with, including her amazing Second Wave marketing team. This passion to succeed is also evident in her personal life. In 2014, Christy ran her first half marathon in San Francisco along with other Evolutionaries, finishing the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in under two hours, with her two sons cheering her on. Although she had her doubts about completing the run, she was fully amazed and proud of her dedication and accomplishment.

Fulfilling your vocatio – your true calling – is also important to Christy: Do what you love, if you don’t it shows. As VP of Marketing Christy loves the creativity and cutting-edge thinking that is exhibited by every member of her team. She thrives on teamwork, a necessary component for managing the pace and dynamics of the tremendous growth of Evolution Hospitality and Second Wave.

Christy was born and raised in Chico, California but spent many summers in San Clemente with her grandmother while growing up. She now resides five minutes from the corporate office. Her two sons, Owen and Miles, keep her busy with sports and other boy things. She is passionate about craft beers, yoga, traveling and spending time with her boys, watching their games or going to the beach. Christy also enjoys volunteering at the Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano.

Christy’s favorite Guiding Principle is “Do everything with gratitude and humility.” Christy knows everyone has good and bad days. She believes you need to appreciate the success you experience on the good days, but at the same time, be thankful for all those involved. Tomorrow may be a ‘not-so-good’ day when you will need all the same people to help pick you back up. In a similar way, Christy is passionate about being kind and treating others as you would like to be treated, which fits very well within the Evo culture.
